Transform: Finding & Implementing Tools

We live in the future. There are tools at our disposal that were previously unimaginable. We all know this, yet we somehow take it for granted.

I want to find and implement tools that will help me improve at anything I put my mind to. On this blog I plan to learn proficiency with Cubase, AI, GIMP, WordPress, and any number of tools, whether hardware or software.

It is easy to be a consumer, but I want to be a creator. In order to do that, I must learn and use whatever resources are available. I understand that reliance on technology has the potential to make me lazy, but it also has the potential to make me more productive than ever before.

And that is how I believe we as humans need to come to understand technology. Too often I see people afraid to embrace advances, but from my observations, those that do usually end up better for it.

For example, many in my family are “afraid” of AI. They don’t really understand how it works or what it is, and so they don’t use it. But avoiding it causes a number of issues. Some of the older members of my family are easily deceived by AI-generated content on social media. The younger ones are addicted to their phones and the constant flood and stream of content, often voiced by AI or even created by it. Both ways of interacting with it are detrimental to their emotional and psychological health.

I tend to approach life with the understanding that not everything I see or read in the media is true or real, and that embracing change does not mean I have to give up my dearly-held values. By integrating technology more into my life in ways that will help me become a better man and a more secure adult, I hope to be an example to my family and friends of not letting fear of the unknown control my life.

Building this blog is the beginning of that integration and moving into the future, a future where I live the life I always imagined. I hope this blog helps you find your own way to live with purpose and not with fear.
